What this site is

A primary source research platform. Not a law firm. Not legal counsel.

Theyrenamedyou.org is a research and educational platform documenting historical, legal, and diplomatic evidence regarding the colonial reclassification of Moroccan subjects in the United States from 1492 to the present. Every claim on this site is sourced to a specific primary document: Senate-ratified treaties, congressional records, state statutes, ICJ decisions, Supreme Court cases, census instruments, and diplomatic correspondence in the public record.

Nothing on this site is legal advice. Nothing on this site constitutes legal representation. No attorney-client relationship is created by visiting, reading, or using this site or any of its contents. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.

The research standard

Every claim is sourced to the opposing party's own record.

The research methodology of this site is to build the argument from primary sources, with preference for adverse admissions: documents created by the United States government, colonial administrations, or their agents that acknowledge the facts being documented. Where a claim is based on a primary source, that source is cited. Where a claim is an interpretation of the evidence, it is presented as such.

Users are encouraged to verify all claims independently. Every document cited on this site is in a public archive. The source citations are not decorative. They are the argument.

International filings

The filings described on this site are real. The case numbers are real. The documents are real.

This site references active international filings with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR P-1365-26), the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR h6a662eo), the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), the UN Special Committee on Decolonization (C24), and others. These are actual filings in actual international proceedings. They are not hypothetical, symbolic, or aspirational. The case numbers, filing dates, and confirmation numbers referenced on this site correspond to real submissions to those bodies.

No representation is made that these filings will result in any particular outcome. Outcomes in international proceedings depend on factors beyond the control of this site or its publisher.
